About Yooperlite

Yooperlite is a unique variety of syenite rock discovered in 2017 along the shores of Lake Superior in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (the "U.P.", hence "Yooper"). This igneous rock is composed primarily of nepheline syenite with rich inclusions of sodalite, which creates its remarkable fluorescent properties. Rating approximately 5.5-6 on the Mohs hardness scale, Yooperlite appears as an ordinary gray stone in natural light, but glows brilliant orange, yellow, and red under ultraviolet (UV) light due to the sodalite inclusions.

"For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad." - Luke 8:17

This newly discovered stone has quickly become valued as a tool for those seeking to reveal hidden aspects of themselves and illuminate what lies beneath the surface.
